Here's another David Sedaris reading. I guess the Easter tale was taken off.

Other factoids
Other Abba things you may have not known.
1) Frida's father was a Nazi who, as part of an official Nazi program, impregnated a young gal in Norway where he was stationed. Frida believed her father to be dead, but a relative of the Nazi (an ABBA fan) recognized the name of the father and matched up the dates that the relative was in Norway, and coordinated a meeting between Frida and father sometime in the '80s.
2) Frida's daughter married an American from (I think) Massachusetts and died in a car accident a year or two before her husband to the count died. Word was out that she was considering making another album after her fantastic Djupa Andetag, but after their deaths, she decided not to.
2B) Frida is officially a princess, having married Ruzzo Ruess, the aforementioned guy. I thought he was a count, but if one becomes a princess by marriage, then the marry-e has to be a prince, right?
3) Agnetha had an affair with a Dutch man who moved to Sweden to pursue her. She broke it off with him after a time and he began stalking her to the point where she had to get a restraining order against him. He persisted. The Swedish police broke into his house and discovered letters to her and from her, and some weird things like two box turtles, a box of saltines and some beer. Otherwise the house was unfurnished. He was deported. She had to go to court. She was very embarrassed. She thinks she is normal.
4) Bjorn's wife Lena, who looks so much like Agnetha, has a terminal illness.
5) Benny Andersson's son, the son with Mona who replaced Frida and thereby caused the excellent but tragic album "I Know There's Something Going On" to be made, this son is a musician also. Not a very good one.

So long, non-friend
Ok, so I admit it. I didn't realize there was a 5th person behind the whole sound of ABBA. I'm sure this is old hat to Sheila, but Danny informed me of this news:
Ex-ABBA drummer found dead at home
A former drummer for the Swedish pop band ABBA has been found dead in the garden of his house on the island of Majorca.
Ola Brunkert, 62, is believed to have been the only session musician to have appeared on all the group's recordings.
A police spokeswoman said an autopsy was being carried out but investigations indicated the death was an accident and no foul play is suspected.
She said a neighbour found Mr Brunkert's body on Sunday in the garden of his house in the town of Arta.
Police believe he fell and cut his neck indoors. He then apparently tried to leave the house to seek help but collapsed in the garden.

The Infamous South Side Irish Parade
This quote was actually in the paper, and the picutre is just one that Megan took. Yes, we look cold because we were cold.
Don't come to South Side, Tinley Parkers
I noticed that most of the felony arrests at the South Side parade were people from Tinley Park. Doesn't Tinley have its own Irish Parade? Maybe those little punks should stay home and trash their own town!

I love paris in the spring time
Maybe another 2.5 feet this morning. The snow plows came by to clear the roads, and now our entrance has snow piled up that's taller than me.
The Montréal news just informed us that they have run out of places to dump excess snow. Sort of reminds me of the Chicago blizzard when Jane Byrne was mayor? Or maybe was running for mayor?

a blizzard in springtime
The railing near the flags is usually higher than the steps, when you can see them. Or, it was yesterday. And this morning, we've got another 2 feet, more on its way. On top of the 3 - 4 feet we've had for weeks now.
And Tookie? Tookie is a frosted mini-wheat.
Maria stocked up for the storm with a loaf of bread, a quart of milk, a stick of butter....

Mikey's Birthday Bash
Sure hope he had a good time in the cold environs of WI to celebrate the 41st on this planet.
His lazy, forgetful aunt (and godmother) didn't even call, but a card is on the way, which will also be late. When are you coming to Sunny California for a visit and a surfing lesson?

Technical Difficulties
Ok, so Amy, Emma, Charlie, Lucy and I went to FREEZING Brookfield Zoo. And I took some cool pictures with my cruddy camera and now can't upload them to my computer because 1. my computer won't read the memory card and 2. i can't find the chord that attaches my camera to the computer. SOOOO you all will have to just wait to see these cool pics. More importantly, cool videos of the dolphin show. (Because Amy took cool pics, too, with a better camera). Ok, back to my Tetrological Disorder.
